Pelican and turtles

I really enjoyed the process of making the turtles quilt. The Jacquard textile paints are so vivid in the turtles. The background water is translucent Pebeo SetaColor.
 Misty fuse and Machine quilted.

Pelican pillow

Although I learned the process for watercolor on soy treated silk fabric with flower paintings, I love doing the animals I see here in Florida. I did apply a thin coat of textile medium over the watercolor to protect it after it was quilted.
