Dye Techniques

I thank Barbara Johnson so much for showing me how to prepare fabric for and various dye techniques. This was so much fun! Barbara has been dye painting for over ten years and has created   numerous quilts and fabrics all one of a kind and all original ART works. Here are two samples I made......

Why dye? I want my quilts to be soft, very soft, comparable to a throw afghan. Painting leaves a stiffer fabric or " hand" than does dyeing, thus my interest in learning this art form.
