Last September I began following Quilt Design A Day (QDAD) on Facebook. The group was started by Anne Sullivan of
Play-Crafts. I learned of it from the Webinar site from
The Modern Quilt Guild. An inspiration photo is provided and we are to spend 15 - 30 minutes designing a quilt. We can use any program, I use idraw on my iPad or EQ7 on my laptop. Here are some of my favorites from 2014.
This was my first one...
When I started they were following
design-seeds daily photo posts but now "Sparklers" provide a daily photo and color palette. (Much more varied from the constant flowers on design-seeds).
I love this simplified lamp with snowflakes design. Can you see the circular stitches?
I love this swan! Maybe by using ombré fabrics the gradient coloring could be done.
This would take a lot of piecing, but I love the different Christmas colors.
This one looks more like a Christmas Card.
It's fun to see the design with the inspiration photo.
