Layer by Layer Quilt finished

I really enjoyed this class by Gloria Loughman. It was fun! And full of design and technical information. I particularly like the section on threads and tension as it took the fear out of tension adjustments.

I designed this quilt after Gloria explained the five layer concept. Neocolors were used to adjust shadows and highlights. Her books are full of great design, dyeing, color wheel info besides basic construction. There are also photos to inspire....

I am still working in the painted quilt. Thread work done so next step is the quilting.
