I've always wanted to try the technique where you quilt the quilt then paint the "appliqué" with the Luminere paints.
Sharon Rodgers-Harrison calls it PaintLique.
Irena Bluhm also teaches the method. So I drew up a whole cloth design in idraw (with the help of
Carla Barrett who has a great blog on computer designing programs). The black background really makes the colors brilliant but then I noticed......
I chopped off the heart corners! This was so easy to do with black quilt thread on black fabric. I did not really see it until I started painting the corner hearts. When "squaring up" I checked on the angles not the quilt stitches.

Now, should I just trash the piece as lesson learned or complete it?
