Fun, fun, fun to piece this together from the layout on design wall. Maybe this "organized improv" piecing is alright. I cut mostly 6.5 " squares of the dye paint samples (the size of the ruler) then played with them until I was happy with the composition. I did have to add some smaller pieces to tweak the fit every now and then.
The size is 42" x 52". I like a 45-48 x 60-72 best so I'm going to think on this a while.
What did I just say? Yes, think on it awhile.....I'm not going to quilt it immediately!
See, I have no UFO's, no tops waiting to quilted, just some extra blocks I might use one day.
I draw a quilt, make the top, plan the quilting, sandwich and quilt it, bind it...done.
Then I think about the next quilt.
So I'm changing things up.... I'm going to design and make several tops and then do the quilting. Maybe I'll come back to this to make it larger, but for now I'm moving onto to Quilt 2 - from dye printed fabric samples. It's going to be wild bright colors!
