May Quilt finishes

Fibonacci Quilt finish- Free motion quilted on my Juki longarm using Superiors 100 wt thread. I wanted the texture only to show. Hobbs 80/20 batting washes beautifully. Grunge fabrics plus an ombré.

 

I first saw this type of quilt on @QuiltingMatters on Instagram and loved it! After checking to see if there was a pattern on her blog- there wasn't- I drew up a similar design in Graphic app on my IPad. It uses the basic Fibonacci beginning layout. 

 

 

My smaller 1+1=2=3 blocks aren't always in the middle section and I rearranged until I was happy with the color flow across the quilt. I tried several quilting plans but ultimately chose this fmg one.

 

After some "I sewing", I finally just marked the quilt lines.
