Turtles revisited

From faded turtles to revived turtles. One big plus about fabric dye is you can over dye it and still retain a soft drape. Due to a couple of errors in my dye processing,  the turtles washed out.

But they are back in splendid color now. I'm outlining the fish and turtles with a deep blue thread. Then will use a light blue for water quilting. This fabric is cotton lawn, very light weight. The batting is also very light weight and feels like silk, though it is a cotton. This quilt feels more like a lightweight piece of fabric, very drape-able, exactly what I was looking for. 

 It is very different to quilt on.....no fluff. I've been having thread problems with the Isacord thread too. Bought a thread stand and that seems to help somewhat.
