Coneflower and hedge flower

Not that I want to paint flowers but the coneflower is a pattern from Sharon Schamber's DVD on dye painting. Her work is always impeccable and I wanted to understand her method. Can you find the error where I went back in and covered it with opaque paint? That area is very stiff also as the paint lays on top of the fabric and dye gets absorbed. It's why I love dye painting best!
To that end
I was able to get into Hollis Chatelains Dye Painting class in Charlotte, N C. At the AQS Festival there in Aug. I'm so excited...Click here for her latest pieces.

This hedge flower just said "paint me" when I saw it on my morning walk. It's a fill in while I wait for more fabric from Dharma Trading. The backing for the cat quilt just didn't work so I'm going to use the same cotton sateen as the front. Very hard for me to go with white as in Modern Quilts but I love that fresher clean look.
It's batching and will rinse in the morning.
