Kitty Stripe - pieced

Tweaked the Kitty Stripe pattern and decided to piece it. I haven't pieced quilt tops lately so first I had to decide how to "piece" it together. I decided to use a cross between Sharon Schamber's "Piec-lique" and "Appli-piecing" by Caryl Bryer-Fallert-Gentry. I found it very helpful to use the small glue tip in Sharon Schamber's method.

So sweet! Lesson learned, next time I will be "precise" on matching to layout. Note the tail is pieced but not appliqued. I think I will quilt it separately so it will appear as 3-D on the quilt.

In the meantime, Kitty Stripe-painted is just hanging around waiting for the background fabric to arrive.

Now to rebuild the pattern in idraw. After an update on my iPad, I had to restore it, thus losing all memory. I do keep all photos etc in Dropbox but not the working files in apps. Is this a lesson learned or what?
