I made the top from leftovers and scraps and arranged it to challenge stitch placement using the crop tool. Then I drew shapes on the top for stitch areas dividing and bisecting to make an interesting composition.
Then I "played" with various stitches, repeat, resized, to determine which stitch pattern would work best in that area. Notice any differences from drawing to stitch-out? Yes, I need to press the multipoint button firmer and always double check the area. The glide foot was perfect for the fringe on checker square- never overstitched it. This was so fun to make!
